Mary and I have decided to homeschool our oldest, Miles. We wanted an avenue other than facebook posts to communicate what's new with our homeschool adventure.
We're still new at this but so far we lean towards project-based learning. For lack of a better term we like connectionist studies. That's the view from 30,000 ft. At the dining room table and at Miles's desk, this sums up the rules: Mommy shouldn't try to explain any math and Mama should leave history off her plate! :)

Signs, signs, everywhere the signs
Not that we needed more validation that we're making the right choice, but our 3-year-olds were in pre-k this morning doing what the 5-year-old has spent the first month of kindergarten reviewing.

Such serious students. I love the focus on Leo's face. I love the pride on Connie's face. Love to see learners enjoying learning.

Such focus on Leo's face. Such pride on Connie's face. Loving to learn is so evident.
